Architects create structures and spaces that are functional, eco-friendly, and visually appealing. This requires knowledge of human requirements, construction science and technology, and aesthetic principles.
The Design School provides a BSD degree in architectural studies. Along with gaining expertise in architectural concepts, construction methods, historical context, and industry standards, students can choose from various approved electives both within the department and university-wide. These optional courses allow students to pursue a minor, enhance their professional training, or broaden their educational experience in other meaningful ways.

First-year students must-
Have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A=4.00) from a secondary school. Some ASU programs may have higher admission or English proficiency requirements and may consider a minimum ACT or SAT score.
Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 911 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10-12 grade coursework.)
Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
IELTS - minimum score 6.0
TOEFL iBT - minimum score is 61.
