The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Technology enables students to focus on commercial, heavy civil, residential, specialty construction, and facility management. This program teaches students how to coordinate, lead, and oversee construction business processes for real estate, facility, and infrastructure developments.
Construction management serves as the most critical role on any construction site. Managers act on behalf of building owners or contractors, collaborating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project success within the built environment.
This curriculum emphasizes construction business operations and technology applications, including building information modeling.
Students master fundamental design principles, construction techniques for various sectors (heavy civil, residential, commercial, specialty), and sustainable building practices. They develop expertise in project estimation, scheduling, cost control, personnel management, and contract administration. Graduates acquire the computational, managerial, technical, and interpersonal competencies essential for professional achievement.
You’re considered a first-year student if you graduated from a regionally accredited high school or earned your GED, and you never attended college or have fewer than 12 transferable college credit hours.
