The natural resource ecology concentration within the BS in applied biological sciences equips students with comprehensive knowledge for sustainable management of natural resources across diverse ecosystems.

The curriculum covers essential elements of natural systems, including soils, water, and their associated plant and animal communities. Through hands-on fieldwork and digital tools like geographic information systems and remote sensing, students gain skills in monitoring and evaluating wildlife and vegetation populations. These concepts and methods are reinforced through practical applications in both classroom case studies and lab-based projects.
