Situated in Phoenix's vibrant arts scene, this bachelor's program empowers students to analyze, reinterpret, and celebrate diverse artistic expressions while designing a personalized curriculum that bridges their creative interests. Students can specialize in several concentrations: dance and theater, social/partner dance, or Hip Hop arts.
Dance and theater --- This concentration caters to dancers wanting theatrical performance experience, actors integrating movement with text work, and directors/writers exploring innovative live performance techniques.
Social and partnership dance --- This groundbreaking concentration examines various social dance styles through both structured coursework and community events. It trains future Afro-Latin and ballroom dance leaders with teaching, performance, and community development skills to drive social change through dance.
Hip Hop arts --- Designed for students blending embodied practice with social justice and Hip Hop culture, this concentration critically examines Hip Hop's historical context and contemporary applications. Through studio courses and practical experiences, students engage with Hip Hop's multidisciplinary forms - from dance and music to visual arts and vocal expression - while connecting with industry professionals.
