The BAE in secondary education with a history specialization emphasizes blending technology into instruction while building historical expertise, offering practical training to develop classroom-ready teaching abilities.
Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College employs a collaborative model for teacher preparation, enabling students to gain professional experience (through internships and residencies) alongside peer teams while receiving mentorship from ASU faculty and accomplished certified educators. Candidates progress through multiple internships before undertaking a full-semester teaching residency. Program completers receive both a bachelor's degree in their subject area and ASU's institutional recommendation for Arizona Secondary Education (6-12) certification.
