The Master of Fine Arts in Music Scoring & Composition offers advanced education in composing and scoring music for films, TV, video games, and other visual formats. This program combines traditional musicianship with modern production techniques to adapt to industry evolution. Participants will master music theory, composition, harmonic structures, orchestration, and arrangement, with emphasis on evoking emotions through music synchronized to visuals. The curriculum incorporates cutting-edge digital production methods, DAWs, and virtual instrument collections. Concentrating on virtual instrument composition, students complete their studies with a thesis project and professional portfolio in the final year.

Final Bachelors Degree transcripts and Bachelors Degree graduation certificate Can be official or unofficial, but must show degree/diploma awarded and graduation date or degree date. If your transcripts are not in English, please send them to us in their original language and if applying to the graduate school, proof of a Bachelors Degree or the equivalent.

You are not required to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score, however, you will be given a placement exam upon arrival at the Academy of Art University if you have not taken the TOEFL or IELTS. While we do not require these scores and do not have a minimum score requirement, you will be evaluated for English language proficiency upon arrival at Academy of Art University.
