Our research focuses on self-assembled and self-organized nanoscale materials, frequently derived from sustainable sources, which we implement in cutting-edge technologies spanning optoelectronics to tissue regeneration.
We create molecular building blocks through straightforward synthesis or bio-waste extraction, then engineer them to form soft nanomaterials via bottom-up non-covalent interactions that govern material properties. This approach yields adaptable, complex soft materials including liquid crystals, micelles, vesicles, gels, ionic liquids, and nanoparticles - all with diverse practical applications.
