This master's program provides a chance to investigate intricate topics and discussions in women's studies while developing a nuanced grasp of how feminist theory intersects with broader societal and cultural conversations. This interdisciplinary curriculum lets students choose elective courses from the Centre for Women's Studies (CWS), English and Related Literature, Sociology, and other departments. The program aims to confront biases, expand perspectives, and promote consideration of feminist research's ethical dimensions, including power dynamics and researcher positionality.
Course components will enable you to critically analyze central themes in women's studies while exposing you to diverse qualitative research techniques applicable to your work. Special focus will be given to analyzing 'women' as a category and 'gender' as a concept through an intersectional framework.
