Examine key discussions concerning the connections among gender, violence, and conflict. You'll analyze viewpoints from anthropology, international relations, sociology, and legal studies.

This program offers chances to investigate critical and feminist methodologies in social research and its ethical dimensions. Key areas of focus include:

gender-specific encounters with violence
conflict resolution and the militarization of peace
constructions of masculinity and femininity
how violence is portrayed, embodied, and institutionalized.
You'll join the School of Global Studies, a distinctive interdisciplinary department. Our globally diverse faculty conduct pioneering research, and we organize a unique series of guest talks, academic seminars, and special events. The campus also features an engaged student community that regularly hosts discussions, presentations, film screenings, and social gatherings addressing worldwide political concerns.

You should normally have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above.

Subject-specific requirements
Your undergraduate degree should preferably be in a social sciences or humanities subject, alternatively, you should have relevant professional experience or engagement.

IELTS (Academic) - Standard level (6.0 overall, including at least 5.5 in each component).
TOEFL (iBT) - 80 overall, including at least 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, 17 in Writing.
Duolingo English Test - 105 overall, with no component score below 90.
