Students pursuing the MPhil, PhD, PhD through Distance Learning, or MA in Philosophy by Research undertake a structured research program guided by a faculty supervisor and overseen by a Thesis Advisory Panel. In addition to academic mentorship, they receive training in research methodologies and professional skills. Evaluation is based entirely on their original research work, assessed by a minimum of two examiners, including at least one external to the University.

Qualification Requirements
Applicants for the MA in Philosophy will normally be expected to have obtained an upper second class honours, or equivalent, in an undergraduate degree that includes some philosophy.
IELTS - 7.0, with a minimum of 7.0 in Writing and no less than 6.5 in all other components
TOEFL - 96 with a minimum of 24 in Writing and no less than 23 in all other components
