Delve into essential subjects including technology, consumption patterns, death rituals, flora and fauna, and human settlements, based on research conducted at a world-famous center for Mesolithic studies.

This program offers a comprehensive examination of the European Mesolithic era, tracing its interpretations from the 19th century to modern times. You'll discover groundbreaking findings from major Mesolithic excavations like Star Carr (home to Europe's earliest house and woodworking), Howick in Northumberland, and coastal shell midden sites across Europe.

With limited existing research in this field, countless discoveries await, potentially positioning you as an expert contributing to innovative projects. You'll gain practical experience through experimental archaeology at our Mesolithic camp and master advanced techniques like ancient DNA analysis, stable isotope studies, and climate change modeling.
