Governments and global organizations shape many aspects of our daily existence, prompting important discussions about individual rights and state authority. This interdisciplinary course, offered jointly by the Philosophy Department and the Politics and International Relations Department, examines key concepts in political and legal thought and their interconnectedness. Through analyzing historical and contemporary theorists, you'll investigate essential philosophical questions about law and governance.
