The Statistical Cybermetrics Research Group, a team of renowned specialists in scientometrics, webometrics, and altmetrics, will oversee PhDs in this field. In the most recent national assessment (REF2014), most of the group's submitted research was classified as world-class. These three themes focus on using quantitative analysis of publication or web data to explore research evaluation techniques. We welcome PhD proposals covering any of these domains, as well as statistical PhDs tackling challenges arising from scientometrics, webometrics, or altmetrics.
