Our Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for Secondary Education delivers top-quality training for aspiring secondary school teachers. This program aligns with the Department for Education's statutory requirements for Initial Teacher Training.
The Secondary Education PGCE is structured to guarantee that successful candidates will qualify for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - the essential certification needed to teach in state-maintained schools.
The Physical Education with French program cultivates reflective educators capable of meeting students' diverse learning needs through comprehensive PE instruction. We strive to motivate young people toward physical literacy and activity by delivering exceptional physical education. Additionally, you'll gain the skills to teach French as a secondary subject. Trainees will master teaching both Physical Education and French to students aged 11-16, with opportunities to extend to primary and post-16 levels. Your training will combine university-based learning with practical school experience to build your teaching expertise in both subjects.
