Our Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for Secondary Education delivers top-quality training for aspiring secondary school teachers. This program aligns with the Department for Education's statutory requirements for Initial Teacher Training.
The Secondary Education PGCE is structured to qualify graduates for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - the essential certification for teaching in state-maintained schools.
The Physical Education with History program cultivates reflective educators capable of meeting students' diverse learning needs through comprehensive PE instruction. We strive to motivate young people toward physical literacy and activity by delivering exceptional physical education. Additionally, you'll gain expertise in teaching History as a secondary subject. Trainees will master teaching both Physical Education and History to students aged 11-16, with opportunities to extend to primary and post-16 levels. Your training will combine university-based learning with practical school experience to build essential teaching competencies.
