Our LLM Law Conversion program offers non-law graduates an accelerated route to obtaining legal qualifications, replacing our previous LLM Common Professional Examination (Graduate Diploma in Law). This course serves as an ideal starting point for those aiming to pursue the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE 1) or Bar Practice Course (BPC) to become solicitors or barristers.Why select this programThe LLM Law Conversion provides comprehensive legal training for graduates from other disciplines. The program can be completed through one year of full-time or two years of part-time study, requiring reliable computer and internet access.Key featuresThis specialized conversion course creates opportunities for non-law graduates to enter the legal profession. It establishes the fundamental knowledge needed for SQE 1 preparation while fostering essential professional competencies.Course structureStudents complete seven core foundation modules covering: Constitutional and Administrative Law; Criminal Law; Equity and Trusts; EU Law; Land Law; Contract Law; and Tort Law. The program includes a 10,000-word dissertation allowing specialization in a chosen legal area, plus an introductory module on the English Legal System. Students may enroll in individual modules rather than the full program, earning credit for completed coursework. We also consider Accredited Prior Learning applications when compatible with course requirements.
