This program is designed to provide graduates with the expertise and competencies needed to launch a successful career as a Chartered Building Surveyor in the built environment sector. Course Overview The primary objective of this program is to prepare graduates with the necessary technical knowledge and professional skills to thrive as Chartered Building Surveyors while fostering an ethical and entrepreneurial mindset. Specifically, the course will: Meet industry needs by developing graduates capable of applying building surveying principles to real-world projects. Prepare students for professional roles requiring sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to make well-informed decisions in complex situations while maintaining ethical and socially responsible standards. Equip students with comprehensive knowledge of building surveying fundamentals alongside broader construction and property concepts including construction technology, economics, finance, contracts, and legal aspects. Deliver a well-rounded education in building surveying while incorporating relevant construction-related disciplines. Facilitate collaborative learning through interdisciplinary group projects involving various construction specialties. Cultivate research skills for investigating both familiar and new building surveying topics to enhance practical application of key concepts. Offer practical experience opportunities to apply acquired knowledge in real-world building surveying contexts, expanding understanding of industry procedures and practices.
GCSE English and Maths at grade C+/4 or equivalencies plus 96 UCAS points; A Levels - grades CCC / BCD; BTEC L3 Extended Diploma or OCR Cambridge L3 Technical; Extended Diploma - grades MMM; Access to HE Diploma (60 credits) of which a minimum of 45 must be at Level 3 (96 UCAS point equivalence, minimum 45 credits at merit). Students must usually have studied for a minimum of two years post GCSE level. However, we will consider applications from mature students who do not have two years of post-16 study, where they have relevant work experience.
 
IELTS: Overall Score of 6.0 with no component less than 5.5; TOEFL: Overall Score of 60 with no component score less than 20; Pearson Test of English: Overall Score of 59 with no component score less than 59.
