This specialized integrated master's program explores various advanced naval architecture subjects. You'll receive a comprehensive mechanical engineering education with an emphasis on maritime engineering, studying areas such as design, mechanics, and hydrodynamics to prepare for diverse scientific careers. The MEng Ship Science program examines the design, construction, and evaluation of ships and ocean structures for purposes including transportation, recreation, or marine resource utilization. You'll master fundamental naval architecture and marine vehicle concepts, with opportunities to focus your studies through one of six specializations: Advanced Computational Engineering, Marine Engineering and Autonomy, Naval Architecture, International Naval Architecture, Ocean Energy and Offshore Engineering, or Yacht and High-Performance Craft.
