The School of Life Sciences is housed in state-of-the-art laboratories located in central London, boasting top-tier facilities that enable groundbreaking research across various fields such as molecular and cellular biology, fermentation and biotechnology, as well as human health and performance.
Among its globally acclaimed research initiatives are studies focusing on biopolymers and nanotechnology, obesity, cancer, inflammation, human exercise performance and aging, nutrition and global public health, along with social prescribing and resilience.
The School's research activities are supported by MSc and PhD candidates, post-doctoral researchers, technical staff, and faculty members. Funding for these endeavors comes from both national and international sources, as well as through collaborations with industry partners.
Available research degree options include full-time and part-time PhD programs, distance learning PhDs, and PhDs through published work.
