The School of Life Sciences operates state-of-the-art laboratories in central London, featuring top-tier facilities that enable pioneering research across various fields such as molecular and cellular biology, fermentation and biotechnology, as well as human health and performance.
Among its globally acclaimed research projects are studies on biopolymers and nanotechnology, along with investigations into obesity, cancer, inflammation, human physical performance and aging, nutrition and worldwide public health, social prescribing, and resilience.
The School's research initiatives are supported by MSc and PhD candidates, post-doctoral researchers, technical staff, and faculty members. Funding comes from both national and international sources, as well as through collaborations with industry partners.
Available research degree options include full-time and part-time PhD programs, distance learning PhDs, and PhDs through published work.
