Our International and Commercial Dispute Resolution Law LLM (ICDRL) program is designed for those seeking to specialize in contentious legal matters within both public and private international and commercial spheres. The curriculum covers three primary dispute resolution methods: adjudication (including litigation and arbitration), alternative dispute resolution (ADR, focusing mainly on mediation), and negotiation.Unlike the International Commercial and Corporate Law LLM (ICCL) program, which concentrates on non-contentious commercial aspects (such as competition law, trade, and insurance), this course emphasizes conflict resolution. With typically small class sizes, students have opportunities to interact with peers from other Master's programs at Westminster Law School. This program enables comprehensive exploration of both substantive legal principles and procedural aspects, while developing practical skills for various resolution processes. It examines applicable laws and regulations (international, transnational, and commercial) relevant to both adjudication and other dispute resolution methods.Beyond the core modules, the Dissertation component allows students to focus on a specialized area, potentially resulting in publishable research.
