The MSci Environmental Science program combines expertise from diverse areas to provide comprehensive insight into today's global environmental issues. With a practical, experiential learning method embedded across all courses, you'll develop proficiency with cutting-edge environmental science tools and techniques. Conduct independent research in our specialized laboratories and utilize state-of-the-art mapping technology in our exclusive computer facilities. Master the analysis of intricate data and develop scientifically validated, eco-friendly solutions. Bristol, a recent European Green Capital, is emerging as a center for environmental creativity and prospects. You'll access engaging initiatives and partnerships through work placements, volunteer positions, fieldwork, and residential programs in both natural and urban settings, domestically and internationally.

GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English Language or Literature, Mathematics and Double Science, or equivalent. We do not accept Level 2 Key Skills, Functional Skills or Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy as alternatives to GCSEs.
English Language Requirement: International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent*).

A-level subjects: Grade C in a Science subject.
Relevant subjects: Subjects that meet the Science requirement for this course: Applied Science, Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science/Studies, Geography, Geology, Maths. Use of Maths, Physics, Psychology, Science in the Environment and Statistics.
EDEXCEL (BTEC) Diploma: You will need a minimum of five units in a Science subject. You may be asked to do more based on the size of your units. Please list the units you are studying in your application. For further advice on acceptable units, please email us.

Baccalaureate IB: A minimum Grade 5 in a Higher Level Science subject.
