Our planet is undergoing swift transformations, making it crucial to address and handle the issues stemming from these environmental shifts. By integrating insights from multiple scientific disciplines, environmental scientists assist in deciphering the complex challenges we face and propose critical solutions for Earth's preservation. The BSc(Hons) Environmental Science program combines expertise from diverse fields to provide comprehensive insight into today's global environmental concerns. With a practical, experiential learning approach embedded across all modules, you'll develop proficiency in cutting-edge environmental science techniques and technologies. Opting for the sandwich course allows you to dedicate your third year to working with public or private sector employers, either locally or internationally, applying your expertise to real-world environmental problems.
Environmental concerns operate across local, national, and global scales, and our graduates play significant roles in various sectors. Alumni have pursued careers as pollution analysts, water quality specialists, and environmental coordinators with organizations like The Environment Agency, Wessex Water, and DEFRA.

GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English Language or Literature, Mathematics and Double Science, or equivalent. We do not accept Level 2 Key Skills, Functional Skills or Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy as alternatives to GCSEs.
English Language Requirement: International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent*).
