Façade engineering stands as a distinct field of expertise. Modern large-scale structures—whether commercial, industrial, educational, or residential—typically utilize a structural framework with an external envelope, leading many engineering firms to establish dedicated façade engineering teams. Our alumni are in high demand.
This specialized program, developed in collaboration with CWCT, directly addresses industry needs—bridging a critical skills gap and simplifying recruitment for employers.
You'll explore why building façades represent some of the most intricate, technically demanding, and interdisciplinary aspects of architecture, mastering how to create functional designs that also achieve aesthetic excellence.
Through practical application of theoretical knowledge, you'll study essential subjects such as façade materials and systems, thermal efficiency and assessment, weather resistance, fire safety, structural evaluation, and project acquisition.
