Students excelling in their final design thesis for the Diploma course may qualify for advancement to a master's degree program, the MArch (by conversion). This pathway allows for deeper exploration of themes developed during the fifth year.
Those continuing to the MArch (by conversion) create an independent project building upon their earlier studies, with guidance from the Professor of Architecture. The program requires either 15 weeks of full-time study or two 15-week periods of part-time study. Participants refine concepts from their prior work that particularly interest them, while gaining proficiency in discussing modern architectural topics. This helps situate their projects within current architectural and societal contexts.
The concluding exhibition serves as both a showcase of student excellence and an educational resource for the School. Participants are supported in designing and presenting their work to the public.
