Discover the artistic and social currents that define filmmaking and viewership, while exploring the arts' significance in modern culture. The BA(Hons) Film Studies program deepens your cinematic appreciation and knowledge.

You'll explore over 100 years of global cinema, including American and British films, while examining the societal, economic, and cultural forces behind them. Investigate film analysis, promotion, and festivals, plus study production and audience engagement. Be taught by top scholars. Experience various cinematic approaches - from modern hits and independent films to non-fiction works, early silent films, and avant-garde creations. Specialize in your preferred film topics.

GCSE: Grade C/4 in English Literature or Language, or equivalent. We do not accept Level 2 Key Skills, Functional Skills or Certificates in Adult Literacy and Numeracy as suitable alternatives to GCSEs.
