The Global Decarbonisation and Climate Change (GDCC) postgraduate programs represent a cross-disciplinary university effort addressing critical climate crisis challenges. Students will examine both the drivers and impacts of climate change alongside innovative approaches for lowering anthropogenic carbon emissions.
The Science track emphasizes the physical science dimensions of decreasing global carbonization and combating climate change. Designed for those with scientific training, this pathway allows participants to enhance their expertise through the GDCC curriculum while maintaining a science-oriented approach, yet also expanding their capabilities with interdisciplinary coursework.
Fundamental modules provide comprehensive insights into climate change origins, effects, and potential nature-based mitigation strategies. Beyond these required components, students select at least two core-elective modules covering areas like renewable energy infrastructure, agricultural systems, and polymer sustainability. The pathway additionally enables enrollment in broader elective courses.
