Our Professional Development Training Programme is designed to provide Postgraduate Researchers with the essential skills, knowledge, and qualities needed to excel as independent research professionals and advance in their careers.
For a Master's by Research degree, the thesis must demonstrate clear writing, original insights, and proper scholarly presentation, including a comprehensive bibliography.
The thesis has a 40,000-word limit, not counting appendices, footnotes, tables, or the bibliography.
Examiners may request an oral examination, which must follow University guidelines for degree completion. While there are no interim exams, attendance at relevant lecture modules is expected.
Early in your registration, you must submit a project plan and Gantt chart. Regular supervisor meetings will be documented monthly to track research progress, along with three review panel meetings to assess your development.
