The Master of Science in Clinical Applications of Psychology prepares students aiming to enter doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology, enhancing their qualifications for this highly competitive field. The curriculum features specialized research methodology courses focused on clinical practice, evidence-based interventions across different age groups (adults, elderly, and youth), and clinical case studies. Instruction is delivered through a collaboration between academic researchers specializing in these areas and active NHS clinicians. Students complete the program with a six-month research internship at an NHS trust affiliated with our clinical psychology doctoral training initiative.

Qualification Requirements

A first class or good 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent from overseas universities) in Psychology or containing Psychology as a major component. Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate their interest in, and commitment to, a career in mental health care.
