This program merges a comprehensive foundation in Psychology with the examination of human communication through language.
You'll learn from internationally renowned academics in both Psychology and Linguistics, including experts who bridge these disciplines. The curriculum fosters critical thinking about psychological research and theories while developing skills in language structure analysis, communication methods, research techniques, presentation abilities, and teamwork.
With Psychology as the core focus, students complete essential components of the BSc Psychology program alongside specialized Linguistics modules. This structure enables you to earn a BPS-accredited degree with a distinctive language and linguistics emphasis.
The Linguistics components explore not just language structure but also delve into psycholinguistics (examining second language acquisition in adults and first language development in children) and practical language applications (analyzing communication strategies across diverse social environments). Course content highlights Warwick's distinctive research strengths, particularly in bilingualism, nonverbal communication, and intercultural interactions.
