Explore the increasing global diversity shaped by migration and movement. At Sussex, you'll join a vibrant research environment, mentored by specialists from the Sussex Centre for Migration Research. You'll gain from our connections with policymakers in national governments and global institutions like the International Organization for Migration and the International Labour Organization.
You can opt to pursue either a PhD or an MPhil. These degrees vary in length and the scope of research required.

A PhD requires your research to significantly advance knowledge in your field through original contributions.
An MPhil involves independent research, though not as extensive as a PhD. Upon completion, you'll earn a Master of Philosophy degree. There may be opportunities to transition from an MPhil to a PhD during your studies.
