Our investigations center on proteins and their corresponding genes. You'll join an energetic global research network in a fast-paced setting. Current funding sources include: Medical Research Council, Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, Cancer Research UK, The Wellcome Trust, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, and various other charitable organizations.
Students may pursue either a PhD or MPhil degree. These programs vary in length and research scope.
PhD candidates produce significant, novel contributions to their field's knowledge base.
MPhil students conduct independent research projects, though less extensive than PhD work, culminating in a Master of Philosophy degree. There may be opportunities to transition from MPhil to PhD during your studies.

Degree requirements: You’re normally expected to have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above. Subject-specific requirements: Your qualification should be in a relevant subject. You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic) High level (6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component); TOEFL (iBT) - higher level 88 overall, including at least 20 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
