Our investigations span diverse molecular mechanisms, including cellular division, gene expression, protein synthesis, molecular motors, diagnostic techniques, and the development of biotherapeutics and renewable bioenergy. Research programs center on both laboratory experiments and computational studies. Doctoral candidates engage in intensive 3-4 year full-time research (or 5-6 years part-time), focusing on a specific project from the outset while participating in essential skills development courses. Each student receives guidance from a dedicated supervisory team, including primary advisors and independent progression monitors.
