Our research leads the way in fundamental physics, and this MSc program enables students to investigate contemporary experimental and theoretical particle physics. Students may opt for either an experimental or theoretical specialization, covering topics including:

theoretical explorations of space, time, and matter
interpreting findings from cutting-edge particle physics experiments
data-driven science and artificial intelligence techniques.

Qualification Requirements

You should normally have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above.

Subject-specific requirements
Your qualification should be in a physics- or mathematics-based subject including a strong background in modern physics subject such as quantum mechanics and electrodynamics. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.

IELTS (Academic) - Standard level (6.0 overall, including at least 5.5 in each component).
TOEFL (iBT) - 80 overall, including at least 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, 17 in Writing.
