The Department of Physics leads pioneering initiatives across cutting-edge research domains, spanning from uncovering the universe's core principles to driving commercially viable interdisciplinary innovations. Our one-year full-time or two-year part-time MRes Physics program offers an intensive research-based master's experience. Students develop specialized research capabilities by conducting original, in-depth investigations under faculty guidance while supplementing their physics expertise through elective coursework. Participants integrate directly into active research teams, gaining hands-on experience within our dynamic research environment across focus areas including Nanoscience, Optics, Plasmas, or the Institute of Photonics.
