Our research focuses on how cells react to DNA damage and its connections to cancer and various human diseases. You'll join an energetic, team-oriented setting with access to diverse equipment ranging from microscopes to DNA sequencers and mass spectrometers. Current funding sources include the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, Cancer Research UK, Medical Research Council, and The Wellcome Trust. Students can pursue either a PhD or MPhil degree. These programs vary in length and research scope - PhD candidates produce significant original contributions to their field, while MPhil students conduct independent research at a more introductory level, earning a Master of Philosophy degree. There may be opportunities to transition from an MPhil to a PhD during your studies.
