Our faculty consists of theater practitioners, performance creators, theater scholars, and performance researchers. They specialize in various cross-disciplinary methods for examining drama, theater, and performance. We encourage applications from candidates pursuing practice-based research as well as those exploring historical, analytical, and theoretical perspectives in these fields: modern performance techniques and avant-garde theater, non-human performance studies, theatrical ethics, Live Art, visual arts and somatic practices, LGBTQ+ and feminist performance, dance and choreography, performance in mass culture, contemporary theater direction, interdisciplinary connections (such as between performance and music), Renaissance drama in modern productions, and acting education methodologies.

You’re normally expected to have a Merit (an average of 60% overall) in a Masters degree.
Subject-specific requirements
Your Masters-level qualification should be in a drama-related subject or a subject relevant to your chosen area of research. You should also show evidence of substantial research and/or evidence of professional performance-related experience.
Your undergraduate degree-level qualification should be in drama, performance or theatre studies.
You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
IELTS (Academic) - Advanced level (7.0 overall, including at least 6.5 in each component).
TOEFL (iBT) - Advanced level 95 overall, including at least 22 in Listening, 23 in Reading, 23 in Speaking, 24 in Writing.
