Five dedicated faculty members focus on diverse fields including verbatim theatre, performance studies, global theatre traditions, digital performance, testimonial theatre, and playwriting. Elizabeth Kuti earned the distinguished Susan Blackburn Award for her play 'The Sugar Wife' and has seen her works staged in London and broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Annecy Lax collaborates with 'Ice and Fire' as an Associate Artist, creating and directing human rights-focused verbatim theatre. Liam Jarvis heads 'Analogue,' a company exploring digital technology's role in theatrical innovation, with internationally touring productions that earned a Fringe First at Edinburgh. Mary Mazilli researches contemporary Chinese theatre, has authored two scholarly books, and founded Lumenis Theatre Company. Jonathan Lichtenstein is an internationally produced playwright and Fringe First award recipient.

Alumni from our Department have pursued thriving careers as writers, while others have become scholars, academics, educators, publishing professionals, media specialists, arts managers, theatre leaders, drama consultants, and linguists.
