Our investigations center on proteins and their corresponding genes. You'll join an energetic global research network within a fast-paced setting. Current funding sources include: Medical Research Council, Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, Cancer Research UK, The Wellcome Trust, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, along with various other charitable organizations. Students may pursue either a PhD or MPhil degree. These programs vary in length and research scope. PhD candidates produce significant original contributions to their field's knowledge base, while MPhil students conduct independent research projects with somewhat narrower focus. Successful MPhil candidates earn the Master of Philosophy title. There may be opportunities to transition from MPhil to PhD studies during your program.

Qualification Requirements

You’re normally expected to have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above. Subject-specific requirements Your qualification should be in a relevant subject. You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing. IELTS (Academic) - High level (6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component). TOEFL (iBT) - 88 overall, including at least 20 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
