Biological, biomedical, and life sciences research encompasses diverse areas including mammalian molecular biology, molecular medicine, epigenetics, proteomics, physiology, and neuroscience. Research Overview The field offers extensive opportunities across these disciplines, with particular focus on connections between clinical practice and complementary specialties at four key locations: University Hospital North Midlands, RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, Haywood Hospital, and Keele University's main campus. Cutting-edge research facilities and advanced equipment are housed in specialized laboratories within the Huxley Building (School of Life Sciences), Guy Hilton Research Centre (Hartshill, UHNM hospital site), and RJAH Oswestry, including Keele's Mass Spectrometry facilities.
According to UK student visa rules, international students (classified as overseas for fee purposes) are generally required to enroll full-time unless they are registered as Distance Learners.
PhD, MPhil and DMs usually require an Honours degree with a first or 2.1 classifications, or the equivalent if you have been educated outside the UK . Any other academic and/or professional qualifications you may have are also considered, and in some cases form an integral part of the entrance requirement. IELTS: 6.5 with 6.0 in all components. TOEFL IBT (including home): 87 with 19 (writing), 19 (listening), 19 (reading) and 20 (speaking).
