The Master of Engineering (MEng) program allows you to focus your studies through various specialization choices while meeting the academic criteria for Chartered Engineer status. You'll gain expertise to guide cross-disciplinary teams in designing advanced systems, spanning renewable energy solutions, automotive powertrains, and aircraft propulsion technologies.

Sussex University conducts cutting-edge research that directly enhances your learning experience. Our Dynamics, Control and Vehicle Research Group alongside the Thermo-Fluid Mechanics Research Center pioneer breakthroughs in transportation systems and energy-efficient propulsion technologies.

Your studies will take place in our advanced Future Technologies Labs, featuring computing resources and modern robotics installations. Our specialized manufacturing workshop includes premium equipment like CNC machinery and additive manufacturing systems. We take the EPQ into account when considering your application and it can be useful in the summer when your results are released if you have narrowly missed the conditions of your offer. We do not routinely include the EPQ in the conditions of your offer but we sometimes offer alternative conditions that include the EPQ.
