Mechanical engineers create and build all types of moving systems, ranging from vehicle gearboxes to artificial limbs, power generators, renewable energy systems, automated machines, and industrial equipment.
You'll develop expertise in key mechanical engineering areas such as structural mechanics, motion analysis, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, material science, digital modeling, CAD systems, electrical fundamentals, computational analysis, production techniques, product design, and production line simulation.
This program features a combined bachelor's and master's degree - with three years of undergraduate study followed by one year at the graduate level.

Qualification Requirements
112-128 points from any combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications. Examples include A-level, BTEC, Access to HE Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, T-Level, or the International Baccalaureate.

Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction (specialism Civil Engineering)
Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing from City & Guilds.
Accredited prior learning
You may be able to join onto year two or three if youve studied a HNC or HND. If you dont have a qualification but have gained relevant credits at Level 4 in a related subject, then credit transfer may be possible.
