Our team frequently partners with industry leaders such as Rolls-Royce, the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), and Jaguar Land Rover. We're proud to house the Rolls-Royce University Technology Center for Thermo-Fluid Systems. Our Engineering Materials PhD program equips students with essential knowledge and expertise for careers in engineering, research, or academia. Full-time PhD candidates typically complete the program in approximately three years. Each student receives guidance from at least two supervisors throughout their studies. The curriculum covers literature review techniques, idea development and experimental validation, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration. Students progressively enhance their abilities to become autonomous researchers.
