Throughout the MSc program, you'll examine how people interact with their surroundings at all levels, from intimate spaces in residences and workplaces to connections with nature and awareness of ecological challenges.
In specific course units, you'll tackle topics like eco-conscious actions, nature's impact on wellbeing, psychological aspects of architecture, city living, societal transformation, and sustainable growth, while evaluating key concepts in environmental psychology. You'll also pick an elective module to specialize in your preferred field (healthcare, global issues, or behavioral modification). This will equip you with expertise to help create, manage, and utilize spaces that enhance human performance, wellbeing, and promote eco-friendly practices.
You'll learn both qualitative and quantitative research techniques, including statistical analysis, building a strong base for gathering, processing, and understanding data. We provide customized research training based on your social science background. Additionally, you'll undertake a research thesis, applying your theoretical and methodological knowledge to a subject you're passionate about. Past student work has covered diverse areas like views on climate change, personal space in open offices, virtual reality city simulations, nature-inspired design, and mental benefits of interacting with nature. We'll align your focus with our faculty's specialties to offer optimal guidance.
