Our Biomedical Engineering (BEng) and Integrated Master's (MEng) programs are delivered by distinguished faculty members, leveraging over five decades of expertise in educating biomedical engineers. Students benefit from exceptional facilities including: cutting-edge microengineering labs, clinical-standard human motion analysis laboratories, and specialized bioelectronics research spaces. Our Design Centre provides access to advanced design software and CNC machining equipment. The program features our renowned Professional Training scheme, offering placements with industry leaders like GE Healthcare, DePuy Synthes, 3M, Abbott, Renishaw, and NHS institutions. Both degrees hold accreditation from the IET and IMechE.
These clinically-focused biomedical engineering programs cover an extensive curriculum spanning human biomechanics, biosensor technology, prosthetic development, biomedical signal analysis, and implant design. Applicants can choose between the BEng or MEng pathways, with the MEng incorporating an additional master's year for direct postgraduate qualification. Students may have the flexibility to transfer between degree levels based on academic performance. Discover more about the advantages of our integrated master's program.
