They'll demonstrate how fundamental engineering approaches can be utilized for medical treatments by combining expertise from various engineering disciplines.

The BEng program provides exceptional adaptability, enabling you to customize your studies according to your interests. Your initial year offers a foundation in bioengineering, after which you'll start specializing by selecting one of four pathways:

Biomedical Engineering: employ engineering fundamentals to protect and improve human wellbeing.
Medical Devices and Systems: design innovative equipment and enhance clinical engineering solutions.
Biomaterials Science and Tissue Engineering: utilize materials science and cellular biology to restore impaired tissues and organs.
Biomanufacturing: implement chemical engineering and biological principles in producing pharmaceuticals and bioactive compounds.

Your studies will conclude with a capstone project, dedicating your final year to focused research in your selected specialization under academic guidance.

The A Level entry requirements for this course are:
AAB
including Maths and a science

A Levels (Plus) additional qualifications ABB, including Maths and a science (Plus) B in a relevant EPQ, ABB, including Maths and a science (Plus) B in AS or A Level Further Maths

International Baccalaureate 34, with 6, 5 in Higher Level Maths and a science

BTEC Extended Diploma DD in Engineering or Applied Science (Plus) A in A Level Maths

Scottish Highers (Plus) 2 Advanced Highers AAABB (Plus) AB in Maths and a science

Welsh Baccalaureate (Plus) 2 A Levels B (Plus) AA in Maths and a science

Access to HE Diploma 60 credits overall in a relevant subject, with 45 credits at Level 3 covering Maths and science units, including 36 credits at Distinction and 9 credits at Merit. Applicants are considered individually
