As innovators who established the small satellite sector four decades ago, the Surrey Space Centre creates cutting-edge commercial satellites for orbital deployment. Our BEng and MEng programs in Astronautics and Space Engineering offer unparalleled access to instruction from leading space engineering researchers. Students can also undertake a Professional Training placement, providing valuable preparation for careers in technology.

Through hands-on project work alongside Surrey Space Centre academics, you'll gain direct experience with the technologies powering space missions.

Students may enroll in either the BEng or MEng program, with the MEng extending the BEng through a master's year for direct postgraduate qualification. Flexible pathways allow for potential transfers between programs during your studies. Our employment statistics rank among the UK's strongest, with 90% of electrical and electronic engineering graduates securing employment or further education (Graduate Outcomes 2023).

Pursuing our Astronautics and Space Engineering degrees opens doors to fulfilling careers while presenting intellectually stimulating opportunities for research breakthroughs.

Our alumni find success not only in R&D but across technical sales, management, and public sector roles, consistently securing positions with top firms in electronics, IT, and communications industries.
