Throughout this degree, you can pursue both performance and composition annually while examining music's historical and cultural contexts. You'll master advanced music theory and analytical skills, earning a BMus degree that highlights practical application - using performance and composition as primary tools for musical understanding and skill development. The curriculum explores both classical and popular music from various eras. In your final year, you'll complete a major independent project demonstrating our flexible learning approach - this could be an extensive research paper, a performance, or a composition accompanied by written analysis.
