This degree allows you to pursue both performance and composition annually while examining music's historical and cultural contexts. You'll master advanced musical theory and analytical skills, earning a BMus degree focused on practical application - using performance and composition as primary tools for musical development. The curriculum explores both classical and contemporary works across eras. Your final year features a major capstone project demonstrating our flexible pedagogy - choose between an extensive research paper or a creative performance/composition accompanied by scholarly writing.
