Our pioneering BEng and MEng programs in Electronic Engineering with Nanotechnology enable students to apply advanced theoretical concepts to real-world engineering challenges. These programs blend professional engineering competencies with scientific research methodologies, preparing graduates for industrial careers. Students can engage in our Professional Training placements program, designed to equip them for positions across diverse technology-driven industries. From graphene applications to quantum engineering, our BEng and MEng degrees provide specialized training in contemporary nanoscale device manufacturing. Additionally, learners can collaborate with researchers at our Advanced Technology Institute through hands-on projects.
Prospective students may enroll in either the BEng or MEng track, with the MEng program incorporating an additional master's year for an advanced qualification. Flexible progression pathways allow for potential transfers between degree levels during the course. All electrical and electronic engineering students benefit from access to comprehensive teaching labs and 24-hour computer facilities running both Linux and Windows systems.
We provide continuous career support to current students and maintain this service for alumni for three years post-graduation. Our department boasts exceptional employment statistics, with 90% of electrical and electronic engineering graduates securing jobs or pursuing further education (Graduate Outcomes 2023). The BEng/MEng in Electronic Engineering with Nanotechnology not only opens doors to fulfilling careers but also presents stimulating intellectual challenges and research opportunities for groundbreaking discoveries.
